Toonwerks: Lloyd Animation Backgrounds

A selection of backgrounds I created for Stoned Gremlin's collaboration with Toonwerks for the 6x 11 minute animated web-series Lloyd.

Each episode had a fast turnover and we initially planned to re-use as many backgrounds as we could, but due to the broad subject of each episode's story-line, very few backgrounds were reused.
Near the end of the 6 episode run we had created enough props which could be quickly reused in new backgrounds.

By adding a mixers window into the background allowed us to reuse this background for multiple shots for this single scene.

The final background contains signatures from the entire animation team on the golden records.

The first episode had a hand-drawn style to their backgrounds. This was scrapped in later episodes due to time constraints and to fit in more with the style of the props and characters.
