Tradigital Deguard style test

This is a test illustration I made to see if I could digitally replicate Philip DeGuard's style from the 1950's Looney Tunes cartoons, Robin Hood Daffy (1958) and Duck Amuck (1953).

DeGaurd's backgrounds from this time used mixed media along with various techniques such as stamps to quickly paint leaves and grass.
One of the more interesting of his work from this time was painting outside of the outlines which I have tried to replicate with this piece.
